The domain era begins with Tim Berners-Lee who started developing the first web browser and editor at CERN in Geneva (Switzerland) in September 1990 and at Christmas 1990 the first website in human history http://info.cern.ch/ was launched.
After this the most advanced technology companies at the time run to register a bunch of domain names. Here a short list of the first 15 domains regristration in history. 30 years later we have more than 300 millions registrated domain names and round about the half are .com domains.
