How to create valueable and brandable domains

Untill now he proof us right. Not even Bitcoin is increasing by value so exponential. As mentioned in our last blog the most valuable domain names in history.

But what makes domain names so valueable and what should you consider by choosing one?
First at all you can categorize domain names in 6 different types:

  1. Generic like Apple.com or Amazon.com
  2. Exact Match like yellopages.com or youtube.com
  3. Brandable like Google.com or Spotify.com
  4. Acronym, like X.com or KPMG.com
  5. Numeric, like 360.com or 8855.com
  6. Alphanumeric, like Check24.com or 5G.com

Choose .com domains
.com is the so called king domain name extension. The users are conditioned to type .com since half of every website ends with the .com extension. Avoid Hyphenated domains, users are tended to forget to add the hyphen and they can be a sign of spam.

Use sensated keywords in your domain
Keywords are relevant for search engine rankings and for users recognition. Use creative keyword combination with other words to make your domain name outstanding.

Make it easy to spell, to pronounce and just keep it short
It’s important that your website name is easy to spell and pronounce to avoid to lost traffic. So you can easily share your website and know that the other person will be able to find it. Also try to pick one ideally under 12 characters.

Make it brandable
With millions of websites make sure that your domain name is unique and brandable, so that it get mindable. Look at other business in the industry to understand what metrics they’re using. This will give you an idea, generally brandable domains are short, catchy, and easy to pronounce.
